ABOUT COLLISON RACING
It all started in 1983…
It all started in 1983 when we purchased our first go-kart and spent our first year racing with the Waterloo Regional Kart Club and the Glanbrook Kart Club.
A couple of years later we started experimenting with building our own engines, building a home-made Dyno and other test equipment. In 1989 we formed Collison Racing and started importing Trick Karts into Canada as well as expanded our engine-building services from a few friends to customers across Canada.
In 1998 we took on the line of World Champion Birel Karts & Freeline Products which has continued to be our mainstay over the past decades. Collison Racing has been awarded for being one of Birel’s Top 10 Dealers in North America. Over the years, we have guided our customers to well over 200 Championships, 1400 Race Wins and 60 Canadian (Bear) National Wins!
A lot has changed in the karting scene over the past forty years but our expertise, passion for winning, and dedication to the sport has only grown. Collison Racing is proudly family-run operation and Jake, Debbie, and Ciarra are all actively involved in running the business and growing the sport of karting in Southern Ontario. As a family, some of our greatest memories have taken place at a racetrack and we aim to help other families experience these same special memories. Our business takes great pride in introducing new drivers into the sport and helping seasoned veterans continue to win.
